Overview:

VMware vCloud Automation Center empowers IT to accelerate the delivery and ongoing management of personalized, business-relevant infrastructure, application and custom services while improving overall IT efficiency. This release continues to enhance VMware’s cloud automation management capabilities.

The VMware vCloud Automation Center Fundamentals course will provide you with a fundamental overview of vCloud Automation Center 6.0.

Lesson 1: Introduction to vCloud Automation Center 6.0

In lesson 1, you will define the capabilities, challenges, components, terminology, and roles associated with vCloud Automation Center 6.0.

At the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

•  Explain the capabilities of vCloud Automation Center

•  Identify the challenges and solutions solved by vCloud Automation Center 

•  Describe the components of vCloud Automation Center

•  Define the terminology associated with vCloud Automation Center

•  Differentiate administrator and user roles within vCloud Automation Center

Lesson 2: The Core Components of vCloud Automation Center 6.0

In lesson 2, you will describe the core components of vCloud Automation Center 6.0.

At the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

•  Identify the features of the Service Catalog

•  Describe Service Authoring

•  Assess how IT Business Management (ITBM) helps a company provide cost information to the business groups it supports

•  Explain the provisioning of IT Services

•  Describe the extensibility features of vCloud Automation Center

Lesson 3: vCAC’s Integration Capabilities and Installation Components

In lesson 3, you will identify how vCloud Automation Center 6.0 integrates with other components; and identify vCAC’s installation components.

At the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

•  Describe end-point integration with vCloud Hybrid Service and Amazon Web Services 

•  Assess NSX Integration

•  Describe the integration of the Site Recovery Manager, Storage Distributed Resource Scheduler or Storage DRS, and VSAN with vCAC 6.0 

•  Recognize the installation components and requirements for vCloud Automation Center 6.0
